Araghchi to the European Union: We Will Retaliate Against Any Restrictions

According to Khabaronline, an Iranian news agency, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister, said today (Wednesday, January 13, 2027) following the European Parliament’s decision to prevent Iranian diplomats from entering the parliament: “Despite the two-year genocide in Gaza that has taken the lives of 70,000 Palestinians, the European Parliament has not taken any real action against Israel.”

He added: “Even though Benjamin Netanyahu (Prime Minister of the Zionist regime) is under investigation by the International Criminal Court for war crimes, he freely flies over European airspace. In contrast, just a few days of violent riots in Iran are enough for the European Parliament to prevent our diplomats from entering its parliament .”

The head of the diplomatic apparatus wrote on X: “People are not stupid; they see what is happening with their own eyes. Iran does not seek enmity with the European Union, but will retaliate against any restrictions.”
