Tehran, IRNA – In a statement marking the anniversary of the adoption of the four 1949 Geneva Conventions on the laws of war, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has emphasized that the US ruling establishment’s blatant and systematic disregard for fundamental rules of international humanitarian law—alongside explicit statements by high-ranking officials, including the US President, the Secretary of War, and the Secretary of State, and a recurring pattern of attacks on civilians, civilian sites, and infrastructure—demonstrates the US government’s intent to commit gross, severe, and organized violations of the rules of armed conflict.
